For Sale: ridewithtank.com

Posted on by 0 comment

I would like to announce that ridewithtank.com is now for sale.

Here is a copy of the business development inquiry I submitted to Google:

youtube has 67 employees.

You paid 1.67 billion dollars.

1.67 billion divided by 67 employees equals 24.6 million per employee.

Ridewithtank.com has 1 employee.

I am prepared to offer ridewithtank.com to you at 75% off the going rate, 6 million dollars.

I agree to ride my motorcycle like crazy for at least 4 years after the purchase and continue to post to ridewithtank.com if you so wish.

You have until October 31, 2006 to give me a $600,000 deposit. The site will be offered to the general public on November 1, 2006 if a deposit is not received.

Thank You.

Tank

They have already told me “We value your ideas and appreciate your taking the time to contact us.”, so I think things are looking good.

I’ll let you know how this turns out.

I have also added two more pages to the Elvis ride, page 3 and page 4.

Nice Colorado web site

Posted on by 0 comment

I got an email from a guy named Ken who has a motorcycle web site.  He proposed a link exchange.  I get these type of emails every day.  Usually the site that is proposed for this link exchange is a total piece of crap.  Just some guy trying to make some money.  Ken may be trying to make some money because he does have some advertisements on his site, but I really don’t blame him for this.  It does cost money to keep a site online.  I am sure some day this site will require some type of revenue if I am going to keep it online.  Bandwidth costs money and so far 84GB is the biggest month this site has ever had so I can afford to keep paying the bills.

Ken’s site is about riding in Colorado and it is a very excellent site.  If you are even thinking about going to Colorado you really should check this site out.  On his site he says “I ride, I write, I build web sites. This is where I bring it all together.”  I ride, but I don’t write or build web sites so this is where it all falls apart for me!  Click here to check out his site even if you are not going to Colorado because it really is one of the best sites I have seen.

[flashvideo filename=wp-content/uploads/2007/12/neworleans.flv image=wp-content/uploads/2007/12/neworleans.jpg /]

Thats right!  Mark and I squeezed Deals Gap, TWO, the Barber Museum, New Orleans, Memphis, and the Natchez Trace into a one week trip!  That is a lot to squeeze into a week on the bike!

For you entertainment I squeezed the whole week into 21 minutes and 48 seconds!

Home from the Elvis ride

Well, we have returned from the Elvis ride.  We got back last Sunday, but as usual I have been too tired and too busy to do anything with the web site, but I have started updating today.  We made it to all of our destinations:  Deals Gap, The Barber Museum, TWO, Wolf Penn Gap, New Orleans, and Graceland.  It was a great ride and I am starting the update.  I recorded quite a lot of video on the trip so eventually there will be some video clips from the trip posted here.
