Pittsburg Airport and Ohio International Raceway

It has been a while since I updated.  A few weeks ago I took Rt. 30 into the Pittsburg Airport and managed to get this really cool picture.  We went to the motorcross races at the Ohio International Raceway in Ravenna and the pictures are here.  Wednesday we are leaving for Deals Gap, so there should be many new pictures from the latest ride next week.  Don’t forget to check killboy.com and they others for pictures of us!  In the links section you can find all of the photographers I know of.  We will be coming home on Sunday, hopefully earlier than last time!

Fred Perry Poker Run, GWRRA Dairy Queen Ride, Morgantown, WV

Ok people, it is time to panic.  Summer is almost over.  Don’t kid yourself – if you keep putting off that ride you have been planning you are going to have to wait until spring.  The snow is headed our way again.

I have not updated in a while.  I went to the Fred Perry poker run, the GWRRA Dairy Queen adventure ride, and I took a little solo trip into Morgantown, WV.  I’ll be headed back to Deals Gap again in a couple of weeks because it is the Best Place in the World.  The big Harley night in Warren is also coming up and I think I will probably attend that event.

Pictures from Deals Gap

Posted on by 0 comment

I found a couple of pictures on the internet that people took of us when we were riding Deals Gap.  One guy, Bill Boyd, took our pictures as we were heading down Deals Gap all loaded up with the camping gear.  Killboy.com took a couple of pictures while Jim and I were talking to the guy on the Vstrom on the Dragon.  I wish I could remember that guys name.  Maybe he will check the web site and send me an email!

Home from the Blue Ridge Parkway

Well, the Blue Ridge Parkway ride is over.  It ended up being even better than I imagined it would be.  My favorite part was Deals Gap, and my second favorite was the Skyline Drive.  We ended up doing 1800 miles in 5 days, 900 freeway miles and 900 twisty miles.  We were pretty beat up when we got home at about 3:00AM on Monday.  The North Carolina portion of the Parkway was just spectacular.  The middle portion was extremely nice, but it was not as breathtaking as the southern portion or Skyline Drive.  We came very close to hitting a couple of bears in the road on Skyline Drive and this was the first time I ever saw a bear in the wild.  Go to the past rides pictures here to see the parkway pictures.
