I know I should have posted a final wrapup on the trip to the Gap, but things have been pretty strange since the trip.
For those who do not know, Skidplate crashed on the way home from the Gap. We were only about 10 miles from home when it happened.
We were getting ready to get on the entrance ramp to the freeway. The road was wet and there was some diesel in the road. She started squeezing the front brake and the next thing she knew she was tumbling and sliding. I had no idea what had happened. I heard a crash and then her bike slid past me on its side.
Lucky for her she only had very minor injuries. Banged up her knee and elbow.
The estimate on the bike came to $2,500 and they say they will have it back on the road within 10 days.
